Hoosiers Outrun Cancer

Cancer has touched my life. I think you would be hard pressed to find someone who has not been affected by cancer. It's a horrible word, it's a horrible disease, and we all need to fight for a cure. One way I try to help aid this fight against cancer is to participate in Hoosiers Outrun Cancer. I have participated over the years by being a volunteer and by taking part in the race. It is seldom really a race per se. We walk. Generally very slow. But, we walk, and we visit and we do it together.

Together we fight to end cancer.

We walk in memory of so many loved ones.

We walk to celebrate those who are fighting cancer.

We walk for those who have won the battle.

This was Aiden's third walk. He has been to too many funerals in his short lifetime. Most were for loved ones who were taken from us by cancer.

This group of ladies has participated in some form for as long as I can remember.

I know that there are a ton of races out there. I know that there are many ways to raise money to help fight cancer. This. This is the one thing I do every year to honor those who are fighting. Those who we have lost. Those who have beat cancer.
